Brea Reimer-Baum, MA Nonprofit & Foundation Consultant
Brea started her philanthropic journey in high school by serving on two youth philanthropy boards connected with area foundations. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University-Purdue University-Indianapolis, holding a degree from Purdue in biology. Wanting to get back into a passion-driven life, Brea decided to get back into philanthropy- a passion from years past. She finished her Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies in May of 2018 and obtained a certificate in nonprofit management at the same time.
Previously, Brea has worked with the Dekko Foundation, Youth Philanthropy Initiative of Indiana (YPII), the Frieda C. Fox Family Foundation's youth philanthropy project YPC (Youth Philanthropy Connect), and the American Red Cross in Foundations & Federated Giving Strategy. Her volunteer interests and hours are varied and numerous.
She loves the arts and, within the world of philanthropy, is passionate about finding solutions to the general lack of funding for arts programs in rural communities, especially in K-12 schools. Brea lives in Colorado Springs with her husband, Jordan, and their dogs, Cillian (a Miniature Schnauzer) and Fynneaus. In their spare time, Brea and Jordan enjoy travelling (especially to Ireland) and riding roller coasters.
